The 100th day of school is supposed to be Monday, January 26th. I have planned a fun day for our class with the theme "Snow Way 100 days in K!" Other than what I have planned I am giving students the opportunity to share 100 items of any certain object they would like. Last year students shared pennies, rocks, cotton balls, hot wheels, beads, etc. Something easy and fun for a show and tell. If your child decides to participate, please make sure the object is appropriate for school. If we are out of school on Monday, the 100th day will be on whatever day school resumes post winter storm.
Conference day is Monday, February 9th. Please return your child's blue conference form with your designated preferences.
A Valentine student list came home on 1/22. You can use this list to make Valentine cards for our Valentine exchange on Friday, February 13th. Writing student names on Valentine's is not required due to reading and writing skills, but I wanted families to have that option. The party will take place from 12:30-1:00/1:15. More information about the party will be forthcoming from Mrs. Pastrikos. Any candy or consumable treat Valentine's will not be eaten at school and saved for enjoying at home.
Snow Day Choice Board--In your child's dragon folder you will find a reading, math, science, and writing choice board. This board is to be used in the event that school is closed and BCPS deems it a virtual learning day. All the activities are simple and fun. Directions for the board are listed at the top of the page. An extra copy can be found in the "virtual classroom" tab of this website.
