Tuesday will be picture day for Kindergarten students.  Friday the science museum will visit our classroom for an outreach program.

Wednesday, September 16th is Greenfield Eats Out at Three Lil Pigs.  The Fun Run from our school fundraiser is on FRiday, September 18th.  Please have your child wear comfortable clothes and TENNIS SHOES ARE REQUIRED.  We will continue our unit on Sunflowers and Monarch Butterflies.

September 7-11

No School Monday, September 7th.  Back to School Night Tuesday, September 8th at 6:30.  Our annual school fundraiser kickoff is this week.  Information will be shared digitally and in the green dragon folder on Thursday.  Participation is not required.  Funds raised this school year will be used to give back to classrooms through teacher grants and wishlists.

This week starts our units on Sunflowers and the Monarch Butterfly with their great migration.

We will do one more week of different Eric Carle stations during language arts.  We will have a 5 day unit this week about the 5 senses.  There is no school on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.

August 24-28

Our class is really starting to settle into being at school.  All are consistently following classroom rules, procedures, routines, and expectations.  I appreciate your support at home and look forward to more success as the year progresses.

This week our stations and lessons will focus on the topics below with a theme of Eric Carle books, games, activities, and crafts.  Each student will share their all about me poster this week, so please send those in on Monday.  I have only received a few.

August 17-21

This week we will continue to build classroom routines and procedures along with starting academic work.  We will practice letters A-E and numbers 0-7.  While we have not started any homework or skills practice routines (begins after Labor Day), please make it a habit to read to or with your child each evening.  We will have our first fire drill this week.  I have shared with the class when the drill will be and we have practiced, too.

Wednesday, August 12th:  First Day of School

Lunch--Cheeseburger

School arrival is from 7:30-7:50.  Kindergarten students will be greeted on the sidewalk by Greenfield faculty and staff members in the car rider line or when they get off the bus.  There will be lots of adults assisting them to their classrooms, as well as 5th grade student leaders helping our newest Dragons!
