The student wellness support team is made up of a cross-functional team of school-based professionals. The goal of this team is to provide comprehensive social emotional support to help students succeed in the academic setting. Providers work collaboratively to support students, families, and staff. When additional support is needed, referrals to community resources are made available.
Meet the Team:
Roxanne Thorn-Lumpkins, Principal
Mrs. Thorn-Lumpkins has worked for BCPS for 36 years and has been principal at Sinclair Lane for 17 years! She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Masters of Arts in Mass Communications from Towson State University and completed all courses for a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.
This year, I’m looking forward to supporting our school community through the various demands the pandemic has placed on the students, staff and families. We are dedicated to the work of making everyone “whole” as we get back to teaching and learning and academic growth of our scholars.

Phyllis Lloyd, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Lloyd has worked for Baltimore City Public Schools for 44 years and at has been at Sinclair Lane Elementary School since 2008.
I look forward to seeing students grow into their individual personality by learning and growing.

Taresa Crawford, Educational Associate
Mrs. Crawford has worked for BCPSS for 22 years and at Sinclair Lane for 22 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Coppin State College, her Masters of Science degree in Mathematics Elementary, and her Educational Leadership degree at Walden University.
This year, I'm looking forward to connecting, engaging, and supporting our students' needs in the school and community. This is a great way to help build and support our students and families in our school community.

Thyessa Drummond, School Social Worker
Ms. Drummond has worked for the BCPS for 12 years and at Sinclair Lane for 12 years. Ms. Drummond has Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Morgan State University, Master’s degree from the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland - where she focused on clinical concentration and specialized in working with children and families - and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker –Clinical.
This year, I’m looking forward to reconnecting - with others, rebuilding and reviving our school community.

Mrs. Florence Opadeji, School Counselor
Mrs. Opadeji has worked for Baltimore City Public Schools for 2 years and at Sinclair Lane Elementary School for 2 years.

Keyonia Green, Health and Safety Coordinator
Ms. Green began working with Baltimore City Public Schools last school year, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This is her second year at Sinclair Lane Elementary School.
This year, I’m looking forward to getting students, their families and the staff reacclimated to a safe in-person learning environment.

Nora Waston, Speech Pathologist
Ms. Watson has worked for Baltimore City Public Schools for 18 years and at Sinclair Lane Elementary for 4 ½ years. Ms. Watson earned her Associate of Arts in American Sign Language from Nassau Community College, Bachelor of Science from Long Island University at CW Post Campus in the area of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and Master of Science from Towson University in Speech-Language Pathology.
This year, I’m looking forward to making a difference in scholars’ lives and watching academic achievement occur.
