The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program at Holabird Academy provides English language instruction for students who are at varying stages of acquiring English language proficiency. Our program spans grades PreK thru 8th and includes more than 180 scholars! 

One of the great things about Holabird is the diversity of our scholars and their home languages and cultures! We have students from all over the world, including Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico, Ethiopia, Ecuador, The Dominican Republic, Nigeria, and even one family from China!   

We currently have 6 ESOL teachers and 1 ESOL Educational Associate. These seven team members spend their days co-teaching with general educators or pulling ESOL-specific groups, based on the needs of our students.
