Updates and Newsletters
Newsletter April 2nd, 2020
Dear families,
First off, thank you for your patience while we prepare this new way of learning for your children and families. Currently our priorities are making sure that all students have access to learning, that virtual “classrooms” are a safe and inclusive environment and that families are as prepared to support their children as possible. Right now we are prioritizing math and reading content. To support your family, we have compiled a few priority items below:
Important Dates:
Virtual Learning Begins Monday, April 6th, 2020. We are prioritizing the use of Google Classroom (which students will access through their Clever.com accounts).
All 4th Grade students have used their Clever.com accounts during the year and therefore should be very familiar with this platform.
*Note*
If students are accessing online learning materials on a smartphone, they will need to download the app, Edpuzzle.
Needs:
1 notebook for reading
1 notebook for math
Pencils
Computer, smartphone, tablet to access virtual lessons
Staff Member Check-In:
Expect to receive communication from a staff member once a week. We will be doing check-ins with students and families to offer support.
As always, we thank you all. This work would not be possible without the collaboration between teachers and families. We are confident that we will get through this together. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
