The school will consist of three 6-hour courses with exercise sessions in the afternoons.
Courses
Johannes Anschütz (Paris-Saclay University): Introduction to prismatic cohomology
Teaching assistant: Sebastian Bartling (Duisburg-Essen)
Linquan Ma (Purdue University): Some applications of perfectoid techniques in commutative algebra
Teaching assistant: Dimitri Dine (UCSD)
Exercise: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Jakub Witaszek (Princeton University): On applications of perfectoid techniques in birational geometry
Teaching assistant: Devlin Mallory (BCAM)
Prerequisites
Familiarity with material in a graduate level course in Algebraic Geometry (at the level of Algebraic Geometry by Robin Hartshorne) and with material in a graduate level course in Commutative Algebra (at the level of Commutative Algebra with a View Toward Algebraic Geometry by David Eisenbud).
The knowledge of (p-typical) Witt vectors over a ring of characteristic p is required: we recommend the notes of Ma-Tucker, Kedlaya's notes, or the notes we used in BCAM. Those participants who wish prepare further are advised to read on delta-rings and perfectoid rings from Kedlaya's notes on prismatic cohomology or the first few lectures of Bhatt on prismatic cohomology.
