Unfortunately, BCAIN will no longer be accepting cats for TNR or adoption. Due to a lack of funding and a lack of willing fosters or volunteers, the program has become unsustainable. We are saddened that there are so many cats in the county that are uncared for and will remain uncared for. Hopefully, one day, more people will find it in their hearts to care about the defenseless animals that never asked for the short, difficult lives that they face everyday.
While we feel terrible about having to stop the program and for the hundreds (and counting) of cats and kittens that will be left to a life of suffering, we also have to feel good about the many, many cats that we were able to help in just one year.
As a final update...the numbers for 2024 include a total of 78 cats pulled with 9 deceased and 69 adopted/returned.
Thank you to those who donated this year to help save the county cats, we do appreciate the support.
Some of the great things that we have been able to do with the funds we have raised!
Avacado needed life saving medication. She is now recovered and has found her furever pawrents!
Shots and Microchips!
Peanut was saved from a slow, painful death! She had terrible mouth sores that were causing her to starve.
Merry and Eve were saved from Parvo and found their furever home, together!!
