I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Boston College. My research interests lie in microeconomic theory and applied microeconomics, connecting theoretical insights with humanity and real-world policy impacts. My theoretical paper characterizes a class of individual preferences that can serve as the foundation of the endogenous social minimum, showing how compassion for the worst-off can emerge with strains of commitment and no envy. My recent empirical work studies the impact of fertility reducing policies on the marriage market outcome and educational attainment of women, using the evidence from China's One-Child Policy.
I am on the job market for the 2025-2026 academic year.
