Katie is an Assistant Professor at the William F. Connell School of Nursing. She is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management. Her research focuses on understanding the emotional burden of living with diabetes during adolescence and emerging adulthood. Her current work aims to understand objective financial burden and subjective financial distress, as well as associations with social determinants of health, cost-coping behaviors, health insurance access, and glycemic outcomes in emerging adults living with type 1 diabetes. She lives in Boston with her family and her two cats—Waffles and Meatball. She loves McDonald’s Diet Coke, cooking middle eastern food, and reading fiction books with stories about families.
Caitlin is a Senior Research Associate at Boston College’s William F. Connell School of Nursing, where she has served as a project manager supporting faculty with their grants, manuscripts and other academic endeavors for the last 15 years. Her background as a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner provides her with a unique lens into healthcare systems, fueling her dedication to research and improving health outcomes. Outside of her work at BC, she lives on the South Shore with her husband and two kids where they enjoy beach and boat days in the summer.
Kaili is a Senior Research Associate at the Boston College William F. Connell School of Nursing where he specializes in the quantitative analysis of health equity, patient outcomes, and the nursing workforce. Drawing on his background in economics and policy research, he uses statistical modeling to address complex challenges related to aging, financial stress, and the social determinants of health.
Caylie is a rising senior nursing student and undergraduate research fellow at Boston College. After graduation, she is planning to pursue an MSN in pediatric primary care. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going on walks, and baking.
Jeannine is a rising senior nursing student and undergraduate research fellow at Boston College from Colchester, Vermont. She is interested in pursing a career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She enjoys singing, spending time outdoors with family and friends, and trying new restaurants in her free time.
