Undergraduate International Field Experience
The International Field Experience provides teacher education and APSY students the opportunity to serve in a school while studying abroad. Historically, students have been placed in various K-12 settings across the globe and have had the opportunity to gain tangible skills relevant to their future careers. Additionally, students have expressed that they felt more connected to their host country because of the International Field Experience. This experience is flexible to fit your schedule, and you can earn one academic credit on your transcript! Testimonials from Boston College Students
“There were a lot of laughs, a lot of fun games, a lot of moments that lit up their eyes. The acquisition of a new word, understanding of a new phrase, the ‘ahhh’ of understanding… but you say goodbye at the end of the semester and realize how far you’ve come, and how far they’ve come and I can’t think of a better feeling for the life of me.”

“Doing an international practicum will always be something that I reflect on fondly... It is a little crazy and overwhelming at first as you adjust to the new school and culture, combined with living in a new country. But it is worth it.".
