Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in learning more about me. I would also like to offer thanks in advance for the consideration you will give my life and work experience. I have chosen to highlight some selected accomplishments to give you an idea of the value I can add to any endeavor.
I have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood administration from Ashford University and am pursuing my master’s degree in educational leadership and policy at Boston College with only two classes left to complete.
I am licensed by the Dept. Of Early Education and Care and carry the following certifications: Lead Preschool Teacher/ Toddler Teacher/ Director I/ Director II
My Outreach experience is garnished from founding and leading North Shore Juneteenth Association. A nonprofit organization that has allowed me to collaborate and build relationships with many government officials and prominent organizations such as North Shore Labor Council, Lynn Museum, National Park Service, Peabody Essex Museum, Beyond Walls Lynn, and Salvation Army Lynn to name a few. Government officials I have collaborated with include former Mayor of Lynn Thomas McGee, City of Lynn councilors, City of Salem Councilors: Alice Merkle, Lev McClain, State Senator Brendan Creighton, and others around the North Shore.
My leadership and organizational skills have been proven through my work with North Shore Juneteenth association where I lead a group of volunteers and ensure meetings are set, events are coordinated and executed efficiently. Owning and operating a homebased childcare service and my previous position as the Director of Salvation Army Lynn’s youth program also is a testament to my leadership/organizational skills as I was able to lead a small team of 4 group leaders, file and maintain information for each student and staff member, plan curriculum, complete monthly reports, and plan field trips. I also kept a record of each child's development and conducted parent/provider meetings.
I am a veteran of the army national guard: deployed to Iraq 2004 and 2008, during my deployment I ordered necessary parts for vehicles and kept the warehouse running efficiently. I also maintained warehouse operations which included data entry, and distribution of parts.
