The Special Learning Experiences and Opportunities' Internship is an opportunity for students to receive academic credits while completing an internship. The course is run by Dean DeVoy and is supervised by a graduate assistant.
The course includes reflection journals and a final presentation. Students may complete the course for 1, 2, or 3 credits. Students completing the independent study for 2 and 3 credits will also submit a final paper.Â
One Credit: Students should be completing three hours per week at their internship placement.
Two Credits: Students should be completing six hours per week at their internship placement.
Three Credits: Students should be completing nine hours per week at their internship placement.
