My understanding of the ideas presented here benefited greatly from many years of discussions with students, Teaching Assistants, faculty and research collegues, and friends. This journey would not have been possible without them. The current version of this guidebook presents my current understanding of the issues covered in the course. It is a work in progress and will continue to evolve as the intersection of Earth Systems and Public Policy unfolds.
