Welcome!
I am an assistant professor at the Mihayo College of Business and Economics in the California State University, Fullerton.
I earned my Ph.D. in Accounting from Boston College, where I was part of the inaugural cohort of the Ph.D. program. My interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in accounting grew from an Empirical Accounting Research seminar that I took in University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to my Ph.D. journey, I graduated with an MBA in Finance as the valedictorian of my class and a BBA in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. I previously worked as a Research Associate at Nielsen and as a Management Trainee at United Finance, Bangladesh.
I study the real effects of alternative forms of disclosure, inter-firm communication, and proprietary costs of disclosure.
My teaching interests involve introduction to textual analysis with Python, accounting and information systems, and core financial accounting courses.Â
