Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor at the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, California State University, Fullerton. I earned my Ph.D. in Accounting from Boston College. My interest in academia took root during an Empirical Accounting Research class at the University of Texas at Dallas.
Before transitioning to academia, I worked as a management trainee in the risk management department of an insurance company in Bangladesh. I completed an MBA in Finance as the valedictorian of my class from IBA, University of Dhaka, and a BBA from the Department of Accounting and Information Systems, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
My research focuses on the real effects of financial and tax disclosure regulations, voluntary disclosure incentives, proprietary cost concerns, and competitive forces in product markets.
My teaching interests are financial accounting, managerial accounting, and data analytics. In the classroom, I am passionate about integrating modern techniques such as textual analysis with Python and data analytics to equip students with the tools needed in today’s data-driven world.
