  • What is Explore Finance Week? That sounds boring. Perhaps it sounds this way, but there are all sorts of different career paths in finance outside of banking and consulting. The sessions this week are designed to help you learn about those options. The target audience is clueless students, so you don’t need to know anything. If you are even slightly curious you should attend to learn

  • I’m only a sophomore. Shouldn’t I wait until next year to worry about junior year internships? Some firms do their engagement events for sophomores early. It's good to know your options as soon as possible to you can figure out what you want to do.

  • I haven’t even taken a finance course yet. Why would I go? That is why we are holding this event. These sessions are being hosted to teach you what these internships/careers entail. It is for people who need more information.

  • What do I say or ask? I don't want to look stupid. All questions will be asked anonymously via a live poll, so the employers won't even know who is asking the questions. These are NOT networking sessions. These are strictly to help you better understand the different areas of banks and what the different functions entail.

  • Do I need to attend them all? No, just go to whatever sessions are covering the fields you want to learn about.

  • What if I am not in CSOM? That does not matter! In fact, many of these firms are seeking students from all schools and majors.

  • Should I dress up? Nope, come as you are!

  • I got an interview! Where can I go to do my video call? Request a room in the Career Center. Make sure to book early, as spaces fill quickly.
