Design for ImpACCt - Boston College Summit
November 17, 2023
About Summit '23
The ACC-ALN Design for ImpACCt 2023 Summit at Boston College is a collaborative celebration and culmination of the application of a design thinking and innovation mindset to explore, analyze, and help solve complex real-world problems using human-centered, multidisciplinary approaches.
Students and their supervisors from NC State, Virginia Tech, and Clemson University (Kathryn Wozniak, David Gray, and Daniel Harding) will travel north along the eastern seaboard to present their Fall 2023 Design for ImpACCt projects along with BC colleagues and supervisors (Julia DeVoy and Sunand Bhattacharya). This year's problem has been 'Designing Life Transitions' in response to the 2023 Stanford Longevity Challenge. Teams have worked from a human-centered, interdisciplinary lens -including architecture, applied psychology, business, computer science, engineering, transformative education, history, industrial design, and environmental studies - to address complex, real-world problems.
