Julia is a senior at Boston College majoring in Economics and minoring in Chinese. Julia conducted an internship at the US-Asia Institute in Washington D.C. She started her summer as a Program Assistant for the organization's Rule of Law Program, and was promoted to the Deputy Director of this program before the end of her internship.
Jared is a junior in the Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences studying Economics and Math, with a keen eye for their public and social sector applications. As such, he worked for 9 weeks as a research fellow at the Center for Research and Social Action (CIAS), in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studying the recent socioeconomic and political trends of communities in the urban periphery, and the ways in which their unique conditions of poverty have shaped both formal and informal political structures.
Claire is a senior in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in International Studies (concentration in Ethics and Social Justice) and minoring in Accounting for Finance and Consulting. This past summer, Claire interned with the Washington External Affairs team in the Washington, D.C. office of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Dr. Linehan is a security consultant specializing in global security, government affairs, and international security programs associated with defense and military capability, future technology advantage, emerging threats, strategic competition, trade and economic statecraft, and strategic risk analysis and mitigation. Concurrently, he is an adjunct lecturer at the U.S. Department of State, Foreign Service Institute; Boston College; and Keio University; a faculty member of The George Washington University, a senior advisor to the Japan Society; and a senior fellow at the China and Indo-Pacific Security Affairs Division, Center for Naval Analyses.
Briana Shea graduated from Boston College in 2009. She majored in International Studies with a concentration in Political Science and a Minor in French. She went on to get her Master's Degree in International Relations from John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) with an African Studies & International Economics focus in 2013. She has worked for Population Services International since 2015 and is currently the Acting Head, Program Management Team, Global Operations.
Joe advises clients on international trade and economic matters. With nearly 25 years of experience in the U.S.-China commercial diplomacy arena, he has advised companies, associations and institutional investors on: U.S.-China trade issues; China market access; the industrial policies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). In advocating for clients, Joe leverages his deep knowledge of Congress and experience working with the White House, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) and other federal agencies.
Bay is the Export Control and Trade Compliance Administrator for DMG MORI USA. She earned her B.S. in Finance and Economics from Boston College in 2018, and is currently in her final semester at UMass Amherst, where she will be earning her MBA. Bay previously worked at Women in World Trade, New England and WebPort Global, where her worked centered on international expansion and marketing.
