All Carroll School students must complete 120 credits and fulfill specific concentration requirements to earn a bachelor's degree.  Degree requirements are met according to the University Core Curriculum, the Carroll School Core Curriculum, and departmental requirements for concentrations.

Management Core Videos

Learn more about the each of the management core classes through these videos where faculty give an overview on each core class: Financial Accounting, Business Law, Coding for Business, Fundamentals of Finance, Marketing Principles, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and Strategic Management.

One-credit Course Opportunities

In addition to the requirements above, there are 1-credit electives that students can take in the Carroll School of Management. See below for the course descriptions and eligibility:

BCOM1021 Essential Business Communications (Fall and Spring)
Restricted to Sophomores and second semester Freshmen in the Carroll School of Management
Essential Business Communication is a one-credit pass/fail asynchronous course designed to support students transitioning from academic to business writing and preparing them for on-the-job communication. Students learn how to boost their business writing and presentation skills through various activities, including analyzing audiences, writing everyday business communication, collaborating, and presenting. Instructors and writing coaches provide individualized feedback to students in this online environment. The course will be offered in one five-week term within a semester.  

UGMG2222 Career Accelerator (Fall and Spring)
Restricted to Sophomores and second semester Freshmen in the Carroll School of Management
This 1-credit pass/fail course consists of eight 90 minute sessions designed to ensure that you learn the following: How to identify your top skills/interests and explore career fields that are a good match; Write an effective resume/cover letter; How to talk about yourself to employers; How to network effectively and utilize the BC network; How to Interview to get the job; How to use Social Media to your advantage; and more

UGMG2401 Case Competition Cohort (Fall only)
Restricted to Sophomores and Juniors in the Carroll School of Management
This 1-credit, pass/fail, asynchronous online consists lasts 10 weeks. This course is for students who are interested in learning how to better prepare for strategy and ethics case competitions.  Students who have completed this course have gone on to win the Klein Ethics Case Competition.
