Bank Week 2021
February 1-5, 2021
February 1-5, 2021
Bank Week is a week-long series of programs designed, first and foremost, to help educate sophomores about the different opportunities available in the finance industry. The assumption for most of the programs (especially the green events) is that you have no idea about any of this — nor should you. The goal is to give you the information so you can decide if these opportunities are of interest ahead of this year's spring and summer recruiting for Summer of 2022 internships. All majors welcome!
Program descriptions and details are listed below. Use the navigation bar to find all other information.
Click the drop-down boxes for event times, descriptions, and speakers. All panelists are BC alumni.

Investment banking: It is something you hear about a lot at BC, but do you even understand what it is? More people than not feel that way. BC grad Omer Tanvir at Goldman Sachs will break it down for you using his "lemonade stand" analogy and you will have a much better understanding afterward. If you attend nothing else, make sure to join this program. It is fun and enlightening.
Presenters:
Lia Frankis, Investment Banking Association Co-President
Dan Stingi, Investment Banking Association Co-President
Lauren Duffy, Investment Banking Association Junior Officer
In this workshop, students from the Investment Banking Association will show you how to create a resume that the banks are looking for. There will be time to ask specific questions about your resume.

The incentives and motivation by our employers attending this firm to increase diversity is real and urgent. This is a chance to learn about the different opportunities and to make some solid connections that you will need if you decide to pursue opportunities at any level in the banking industry. You may have to get up a bit earlier and dress up (at least from the waist up) but trust us it's a time to have some meaningful engagement with these folks before the platform gets crowded.

These panels pick up where "What is a bank?" leaves off and allow for a deeper dive specifically into IB. Each panel will give a high-level overview and then allow for any questions. The assumption is that you don’t know anything about IB. Remember: No such thing as a bad question! These are BC alumni who want to be honest with you. Questions will be submitted via chat so you don’t have to ask them out loud. Some talking points include:
