Bank Week 2022
February 1-4, 2022
February 1-4, 2022
Now that BankWeek has ended the real work begins. If you want to know how to start the networking process this handout gives you contacts and tips. Also don't forget to check out the skills/tutorials/ and TTS recordings on this website.
Bank Week is a week-long series of programs designed, first and foremost, to help educate sophomores about the different opportunities available in the finance industry. The assumption for most of the programs is that you have no idea about any of this — nor should you. The goal is to give you the information so you can decide if these opportunities are of interest ahead of this year's spring and summer recruiting for Summer of 2023 internships. All students and all majors are welcome! If you are a student who never considered a career in finance, and wouldn't know where to begin . . . This week is for you.
Program descriptions and details are listed below. Use the navigation bar to find all other information.
The Heights Room
Similar to the regular career fair, this is your opportunity to virtually meet the banks that will be actively recruiting BC students. We recommend Business attire. The list of companies is on Handshake and here
Heights Room
Employers attending are eager to increase diversity in the industry. This is a chance to learn about the different opportunities and to make some solid connections that you will need if you decide to pursue opportunities at any level in the banking industry. You may have to get up a bit earlier and dress up (at least from the waist up) but trust us it's a time to have some meaningful engagement with these folks before the platform gets crowded.
This event is open to women, students of color, students with disabilities, first-generation college students, LGBTQ students, and military-affiliated students.
Featuring: Omer Tanvir/VP Goldman Sachs (CSOM '05)
Investment banking: It is something you hear about a lot at BC, but do you even understand what it is? More people than not feel that way. BC grad Omer Tanvir at Goldman Sachs will break it down for you using his "lemonade stand" analogy and you will have a much better understanding afterward. If you attend nothing else, make sure to join this program. It is fun and enlightening.
