The Keystone Exams are end-of-course assessments designed to evaluate proficiency in three academic content areas: Literature, Biology, and Algebra I. For example, students currently enrolled in English 10 are required to take the Literature exam, and students who are enrolled in Biology, Algebra 1, or Algebra I part 2 are required to take the respective Keystone exams for those subjects. If your child is enrolled in one of these classes, they are required to complete the tests this spring. One important aspect of the law is that students must demonstrate proficiency on these exams to graduate.
