Activities to help with understanding quantity:
A simple game of "show me" with fingers - say a number and they have to show you that quantity on their fingers as quickly as they can OR you show them your fingers and they have to tell you how many they see. If it is not correct, have them count to check!
Die/dice with dots ("pips") games: Roll and say how many, roll and compare (which die shows more or less), Roll a die/dice and match to a number card, Roll a die/dice and build a tower of that same quantity (with blocks), or Roll a die/dice and jump or clap that many times
COUNTING! Can count anything around the house, yard, neighborhood! Stairs, toys, snacks, houses, cars, rocks, etc.
Subitize: The ability to instantly recognize the number of objects without counting them
