Any Mac laptop that was manufactured in the past 3 years will be fine (e.g., MacBook Air, MacBook Pro). It does not need to be a brand-new laptop. Students must show up to school each day with a charged laptop and their charging cable.

If you plan to give your child a pre-owned computer, we recommend that you wipe the device clean first before reallocating it to provide your child with a clean slate.
Directions to Wipe: If your Mac is running macOS Monterey or later (newer):
Click the Apple menu ().
Go to System Settings (or System Preferences).
Select General → Transfer or Reset.
Click Erase All Content and Settings.
Follow the prompts and enter your password.
Your Mac will:
Remove all data
Sign out of your Apple ID
Reinstall macOS
When it restarts to the “Hello” screen, it’s fully wiped.
