Here are 2 recipes for you to try at home:

No-Cook Playdough

4 cups of flour

1 1/2 cups salt

2 tbsp oil (vegetable is best, but olive oil will also work)

1 cup water

food coloring

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.

Knead until the dough is completely mixed.  Add water or flour to adjust.

Store in an airtight container or in a zipper bag.

Cooked Playdough (Our Favorite)

1 cup flour

1/4 cup salt

2 tsp. cream of tartar

1 cup water

1 Tablespoon vegetable oil (Olive ok)

Food coloring (liquid or gel) - a few drops

Mix together all the ingredients, except the food coloring, in a medium saucepan.

Cook over low/medium heat, stirring. Once it begins to thicken, add the food coloring.

Continue stirring until the mixture is much thicker and begins to gather around the spoon.

Once the dough is not wet, remove and put onto wax paper or a plate to cool.

After cooling (30 minutes) knead playdough for a few seconds.

PLAY!

Store in an airtight container.
