We are a body of believers in Christ, historically evangelical and baptist in doctrine, and congregational in polity. We partner with other Southern Baptists through the Cooperative Program to educate young pastors, provide relief during times of disaster, and send missionaries all over the world. As a Southern Baptist church, we affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and we believe that we can do more for the sake of the Gospel if we work together.
We exist to glorify God by helping people to follow Christ Jesus Together.
We value people working together (for the Gospel)…
…proclaiming God’s Word in many different ways…
…prayerfully dependent on God’s Spirit…
…practicing God’s Word, the Great Command, and the Great Commission…
…persevering step-by-step together in the Gospel.
To accomplish our mission we must equip our church family to grow in KFCA and to engage, evangelize, and establish others inside and outside the church.
Engage People with love and good works seeking opportunities for spiritual conversations.
Evangelize People by sharing the gospel with the aim to persuade them to follow Christ.
Establish Believers (through God’s Word, prayer, and relationships) to grow knowledge of Christ, faith in Christ, character conformed to Christ, and actions patterned after Christ.
Equip Every Member to exalt Christ as we work together to engage, evangelize, establish, and equip others.
Following Jesus together makes us disciples. As disciples, we are a church family of worshipers, servants, stewards, and witnesses.
Disciples: we follow Jesus, are being changed by Jesus (to become more and more like Jesus), and live on mission with Jesus (Mt 4:19).
Family: we are God’s adopted children called together to love and care for one another as brothers and sisters in Christ (John 13:34-35)
Worshipers: we are created to know, love and obey God above all else (Mt 22:36-40)
Servants: we work to build up the body of Christ and to heal the hurts and meet the needs of others inside and outside of our church (Eph 4:12-16; Mt 22:39-40)
Stewards: we use God’s gifts (of time, talents, and treasures) for God’s purposes (Rom 12:6-8; 2 Corinthians 8-9; 1 Pt 4:10-11; 2 Cor 8-9)
Witnesses: we receive the Holy Spirit’s power to share and to show the good news about Jesus to others (Mt 28:18-20).
Reach people with God’s Gospel, Grow Believers as God’s Church, and Release God’s Church Back into the World.
