Join us for an exciting and impactful two-day summer daycare camp hosted directly through the Bay Village schools to support the Thirst Project Organization, the world’s largest youth-led water activism organization. Designed for students entering Pre-K through 3rd grade, our camp offers a perfect blend of fun and education, featuring activities like crafts and supervised outdoor playtime. To support working families, we will operate from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, providing ample leeway for the average workday, with nutritious lunch and snacks provided daily. While the camp is run by dedicated high school-aged counselors, every moment is strictly overseen by certified adults with extensive teacher experience or completed background checks to ensure a safe, high-quality environment. All proceeds from the program go toward building freshwater wells in developing communities in Africa.
Dates
The camp will take place on Friday, August 14th, and Monday, August 17th, 2026, for two full days of high-energy fun and learning before the start of the 2026/2027 school year, also allowing students to meet some of their classmates before the start of school! It is required for kids to attend both days, since it is a two-day program. The camp runs from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day, offering a convenient schedule for working families while ensuring kids have plenty of time for every activity. We will be based at the Bay Lodge, utilizing both the indoor facilities and the surrounding Bradley Park fields for supervised outdoor play. Since each day features a new lineup of games and projects, students are expected to participate in both dates to get the full camp experience!
Cost
The registration fee is $150, payed through Hometown Ticketing, which covers the entire two-day program. This all-inclusive price includes nutritious lunches and snacks daily, a commemorative camp tee shirt, and all materials for our unique, sustainable craft projects. Most importantly, 100% of your registration fee goes directly to the Thirst Project. By signing up, you aren't just giving your child a memorable summer experience; you are providing life-changing resources to those in need.
Signup
To secure your child’s spot, please go to the Hometown Ticketing signup link here, and fill out the accompanying form on the Hometown Ticketing website. The registration form will allow you to specify tee shirt sizes, emergency contact information, and any specific dietary needs for the provided meals. Because we maintain a strict ratio of certified adult supervisors to ensure a high-quality and safe environment, space is limited to only sixty spots for all ages. We recommend completing the form as soon as possible to guarantee your camper can join us for this impactful event!
What to Bring
To ensure your camper is ready for a full day of action, please send them in comfortable, appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes (like sneakers) for safe running on the athletic fields. Each child should bring a labeled, reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day, as well as their own sunscreen for outdoor play. On the second day (Monday, August 17th), please pack a swimsuit and a towel, as we’ll be hosting some refreshing water-themed activities! Additionally, please remember to bring the payment on the first day of camp, August 14th. While we provide all meals and craft supplies, we recommend leaving toys or electronics at home so everyone can stay fully engaged in the camp's fun and games.
The Thirst Project
We are proud to partner with the Thirst Project, the world’s largest youth-led water activism organization, to help end the global water crisis. Currently, millions of people in developing communities must walk an average of 3.75 miles every single day just to collect water, which is often contaminated and unsafe to drink. This grueling journey falls disproportionately on children—especially young girls—who are forced to spend their days hauling water instead of sitting in a classroom. By building freshwater wells directly in these villages, the Thirst Project breaks the cycle of poverty and restores the right to an education. Your support helps ensure that instead of walking miles for water, these students can spend their time pursuing a future in school.
Lunches/Snacks
On August 14th, we will be providing a morning snack of juice boxes and pretzels, with a lunch of Pizza Hut pizza and veggie trays, and an afternoon snack of Skinny Pop popcorn. On August 17th, we will provide a morning snack of juice boxes and Goldfish, a lunch of turkey and cheese sandwiches with fresh fruit, and Outshine popsicles in the afternoon. If your child has any allergies, or their food preferences don't align with the food provided, feel free to bring your own packed lunch and snacks.
