Below is our microplastic protocol
First, we collect 500ml water samples from Back cove, Willard beach, and Scarborough Marsh.

Next, we filter the water samples through a vacuum filtration system with gridded filter paper. The microplastics catch on the gridded filter paper.
Finally, we count the microplastics under a microscope.
