LEARNING COACH
The Learning Coach is the adult who will be monitoring student work at home,15- 20 hours per week. For most students, this is a parent. Coaching includes helping with school work, reviewing completed work, reviewing project instructions, and communicating with the teachers.
Practice academic social skills, such as problem-solving, group discussions, and conferring on ideas.
Opportunities to participate in hands-on activities
Conduct academic simulations, use higher-order thinking skills, and participate in cross-curricular activities
Satisfy Social/ Emotional Education Standards
Review learning targets that need more direct instruction from a live teacher.
