Ms. Bancroft's Homework Tracker

Students in my 5th grade ELA and History classes will only have assigned homework on Tuesday.  Occasionally an assignment might be given for something special and I will place it on the list below.  The most recent assignments will be on the top with older assignments below. 

Tuesday, September 15: Students should complete a worksheet on prepositional phrases (Handout 3D).  We had a quick introduction to this in class and will continue to work on identifying them in print and using them effectively in our writing.  Be sure your student answers the reflection question at the end.  

Tuesday, September 8:  Students should come home with a letter explaining that they need to try to log into Google Classroom and Skyward.  We went through some steps at school to help students get there.  Honestly, it was with limited success.  I am asking families to try to help get your student in.  Older siblings should be of some help also.  If you cannot get it, please write back to me on your student's letter under where you signed your name.   Thank you so much. 

Tuesday, September 1:  Students should complete Handout 1B: Family and Culture Web.  After completing the web, students should put a star by  one aspect that they would like to highlight and write a short paragraph describing that aspect in more detail. This paragraph could include a short story, examples, historical significance , emotions. etc.
