About me

I grew up in Lake Oswego, Oregon with my parents, Rob and Sue, and two younger siblings, Kelly and Alan. After graduating Lakeridge High School, I attended University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, where I majored in biology. I met my wife, Alison, in college and we married in 2009. I taught middle school math and science and coached basketball in Tacoma for 7 years before moving to Battle Ground. I began teaching at River HomeLink during the 2017-18 school year.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time traveling and exploring the outdoors with my wife Alison, son Wesley, and daughter Sienna. On the weekends, I often help my parents at our family farm, Baurs Corner Farm, a pear and hazelnut orchard in Ridgefield, Washington.
