River Homelink's Class of 2027 graduation ceremony will be Wednesday, June 2nd, 7pm at the District Stadium.

At River Homelink, the senior parents plan the graduation events! ALL seniors and their parents are invited to attend the graduation meetings. Here are the Tuesday evening meeting dates. They will be held in the Commons from 6:30-7:30pm.

Graduation planning meeting dates:

November 17th-Jostens will be there to take orders. 

February 23rd-Committees will meet

March 30th-Committees will meet

April 27th- Cap and gowns will arrive

May 18th-Last committee meeting

The committees are : Fundraising & Gifts, Baccalaureate,  Graduation Reception, Senior Breakfast  , Teacher Appreciation Dinner and  Jostens.   Plan to join a committee at the next graduation meeting.

*Committees were formed. If you missed the meeting, just join a committee at the next meeting. 

*Jon Morton, Jostens rep, announced the price for the basic cap and gown has not changed form last year. It is $59 plus tax. If you need financial assistance, please reach out to me at richardson.julie@battlegroundps.org. Ordering packets will be dropped off on November 10th for pickup at the front desk. Orders will be turned in at the November 17th graduation meeting at 6:30pm in the Commons.  There are flyers with info in Room 5.

    *Jostens Committee:  They met with Jon M and they narrowed down the graduation announcement choices to eight. The entire group who attended had the option to vote on their three favorite. After the vote, the three choices will be sent out to the entire  senior class  (via a google form) to be voted on. The design with the most votes will be the Class of 2027 announcement. These can be ordered when the cap and gown is ordered on Nov. 17th.

      Graduation/ Reception Committee: They divided up the work between them. They will contact BGHS ROTC to schedule the Color Guard. They have contacted seniors to sing the National Anthem. They have decided on refreshments and decorations. 

       Fundraising/Gifts Committee: They brainstormed ideas for fundraising ie: selling poinsettias for the holidays. They discussed senior gift ideas.

        Baccalaureate Committee: They have two locations to check on.

 This event will be Tuesday, June 1st. Time and location TBA. They discussed refreshments, speakers, and music. 

         Senior Breakfast Committee: They discussed the menu-asking seniors to list their favorite breakfast food when they were kids. Discussed having a photo area for seniors and how many years they have attended RHL. This event happens immediately after graduation rehearsal on Wed. June 2 in the small gym.

          Teacher Appreciation Committee:  They discussed the menu: BBQ, sides and decorations-potted plants on tables. Perhaps play games such as Bingo.  They are looking into having a speaker, too. Date, time are TBA. It will take place in the small gym. 

The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 17th @ 6:30pm in the Commons. Jostens will be receiving orders and committees will meet.
