At River Homelink, the senior parents plan the graduation events! ALL seniors and their parents are invited to attend the graduation meetings. Here are the Tuesday evening meeting dates. They will be held in the Commons from 6:30-7:30pm.
Graduation planning meeting dates:
September 29th-Committees will be formed.
November 17th-Jostens will be there to hand out ordering packets. Seniors will decide on class motto, theme and announcement design.
February 23rd-Committees will meet
March 30th-Committees will meet
April 27th- Cap and gowns will arrive
May 18th-Last committee meeting
The committees are : Fundraising & Gifts, Baccalaureate, Graduation Reception, Senior Breakfast and Teacher Appreciation Dinner. Plan to join a committee at the next graduation meeting.

Cap Decoration Guidelines
Caps* and gowns will be worn in the proper manner, as designated by the school administration and class advisor. (*The student bodies of Battle Ground Public Schools determined expectations around cap decoration. Failure to meet the following expectations will result in the removal of the cap at the ceremony or you will not be able to participate)
Suggestions/ideas:
Thank a parent, grandparent, teacher, friend
Recognize the university you will be attending
Graduation year
Military branch
Caps may not contain any advertisement, symbols, abbreviations, words, slogans, patches or pictures that are of a sexual nature or refer to drugs or controlled substances, tobacco, alcohol, or weapons.
Caps may not denote an affiliation with gangs or advocate drug use, violence, illegal activity, hate, or disruptive behavior that is detrimental to the safety and welfare of others.
Caps may not be obscene, profane, vulgar or lewd.
Caps may not threaten the safety or welfare of others.
Only the flat, top area of the mortar board may be decorated. Nothing may hang from any sides of the cap.
Decorations must be flat on the surface. 3-D creations are prohibited.
No blinking lights, nothing battery operated.
Make sure decorations will not come off the cap during the ceremony.
Caps may not contain anything that makes noise: no bells, whistles, horns, etc.
Caps will be reviewed and approved in advance of the ceremony through a process established by each school.
