Ryan joined the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Bates in January 2024. Before Bates, he completed his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder and spent two years as a NRC Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, Colorado.

Current Members:
Andrew is a physics major at Bates. He is interested in applying physical laws to solve-real-world problems that can benefit people’s lives. Outside of physics, he is also a huge badminton enthusiast.
Audrey is a senior physics major at Bates College. She is focusing her thesis on laser heterodyne radiometry and radial velocity based exoplanet detection. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, reading, and cooking.
