The Bulldog Blast 5K is a family friendly run/walk sponsored by the Batavia High School and Middle School Cross Country teams. Current and past Batavia Cross-Country coaches, runners, and families of runners as well as interested community members work each year to make this event a success. Proceeds benefit Batavia Athletics as well as annual scholarships for Batavia High School seniors.

2019 graduate Madilyn Flandermeyer is pursuing a degree in Materials Engineering at the University of Kentucky where she is involved with the Society of Women Engineers and received a Chellgren research fellowship. Madilyn is thankful to have gained leadership and team building skills from her time with BHS Cross Country.

2018 Graduate Nathan DeRose pursued a major in Sports Management at Ohio University where he joined several clubs and traveled to Dallas to shadow members on the Cowboys sales team. Nathan credits his discipline and time management skills from BHS Cross Country to what he is accomplishing today.

2017 Graduate Dylan Young was our 1st Scholarship Recipient. After high school he studied Pre-Med/Biological Studies at Northern Kentucky University and enlisted in the Army Reserves/Graduates. Dylan is a Nationally Certified E.M.T. Dylan is thankful to have all of his running experience to help get through boot camp and training!
