Hello, I am Atalia, and I will be serving as your Communications Lead for Student Council for the 2026-2027 school year! I will be the one sending all of the Student Council emails to keep everyone informed throughout the year. Other than being in Student Council, I am a 4th year Dual Track student, currently earning both my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization.

Being a part of Student Council as well as NMSA allows me to support my fellow Bastyrians, and I am truly excited to be here for everyone in our wonderful community!

I love photography, crafting, painting, gardening, and you can find me jamming out to live music at shows with friends (if you see me in a show, come say hi! I usually go towards Rock and Metal shows, but I listen to most music genres). I also love walking around our beautiful forest, and exploring spots to eat. I am from the Los Angeles area, where I have two beautiful dogs and five cute birds. I absolutely love animals, being part of the veterinary medical field for over a decade as a veterinary assistant before I came to Bastyr (if you have a pet, please let me say hi to your furry/feathered/etc friend!!). Before coming to Bastyr, I graduated from Humboldt State University with two bachelors degrees in General Biology as well as Zoology.

If there is any way I can be there for you, please don’t hesitate to contact me, and I will do the best that I can to support you!
