Welcome to the Basin Elementary Resource Room!

A Bit About Me:

My name is Pamela Dougherty. I began my journey toward becoming a teacher by first becoming a paraprofessional in the year 2000. During the subsequent several years I had the privilege to work with amazing students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I attended college while raising my family, and completed my Bachelor's degree from Boise State University in 2011. I have been teaching elementary special education at Basin Elementary since then. I am married for 23 years and have four children. My oldest two have graduated from ICHS and my other two are still Wildcats! We love Idaho City!

A Bit About the Resource Room:

Within the Basin Elementary Resource Room and in the regular classrooms, we adapt the teaching style to accommodate the needs of our students. We assist the learners, their parents and teachers in designing and implementing a program that allows each student to achieve success.

If your child needs special help or you suspect that he or she may have a disability impacting their education, please conference with his/her teacher and ask about our special education program.

If your child is struggling to meet academic or social expectations, there are many helpful resources available online. A few of my favorite sites are linked on this page.
