Baseline Surveying Inc. was incorporated in 2000 as Biedenbach Engineering Inc., by Aaron Biedenbach and Mike Nichols, and focused on maintaining a high standard of excellence while providing Construction Layout, Land Surveying and  Land Development. In 2005 the name was changed to Biedenbach Surveying Inc. and in 2011 the name was once again changed, to Baseline Surveying Inc.  Today, we still strive to uphold that same high level of excellence in the surveying industry that the company was founded on.

                                                                                                                


Mike Nichols, PS

Co-Owner


As a graduate of Tri-Valley High School and Muskingum Area Technical College in 1976, Mike began

his career at  W. J. Biedenbach & Associates.  After 24 years with W. J. Biedenbach & Associates he cofounded Biedenbach Engineering Inc., which became Baseline Surveying Inc. in 2011.  In 1984, Mike earned his registration as an Ohio Professional Surveyor and in 2009 earned his registration as a West Virginia Professional Surveyor.  Mike is also a member of  The Archaeological Society of Ohio, Flint Ridge Chapter, and a member and trustee of Dresden United Methodist Church, and a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio.

                                                                                                                


Jason Leachman, PS

Co-Owner


Jason is a John Glenn High School graduate.  After High school he joined the United States Marine Corps

Reserves and attended Ohio University to study civil engineering, with a focus on land development and

surveying.  In the summer of 2003 he started working part time at Biedenbach Engineering Inc.

(later renamed to Biedenbach Surveying Inc.). In 2005 his work and school were put on hold as he was

deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon returning home he completed his Bachelor of Science degree

and was hired on full time as an Engineer Intern and Surveyor Intern at Biedenbach Surveying Inc. After gaining more real world experience in Property and Construction Surveying, he earned his Ohio Professional Surveying License in 2011.  In January 2012 he became Co-Owner of Baseline Surveying Inc. He is a member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio.
