Overviw

Baseline Metrics is a tennis match tracking app. We designed it to work entirely on your device. Your match data never leaves your phone or watch and is never transmitted to our servers. This policy explains the limited ways data is handled when you use the app.

1. Data We Store on Your Device

Baseline Metrics stores the following information locally on your device only:

Player names you enter

To identify players in match records

Match records (scores, points, shots, rally lengths)

For core app functionality

Point notes (typed or dictated)

For optional annotation per point

App settings (font size, color theme, preferences)

To preserve your configuration

Premium unlock status

For unlocked premium features

This data is stored in your device's local storage and is not accessible to us. It does not leave your device except as described in sections 3 and 4 below.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store:

• Personal information such as your name, email address, or account credentials

• Location data

• Device identifiers or advertising IDs

• Usage analytics or behavioral data

• Crash reports or diagnostic data (see section 7 regarding a planned future change)

3. Voice Dictation (Optional Feature)

Baseline Metrics includes an optional voice dictation feature for adding notes to individual points. If you choose to use this feature:

• Your device's built-in speech recognition service processes the audio.

• On Android, this is Google's speech recognition service. Audio may be sent to Google's servers for processing in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

• We do not receive, access, or store any audio you speak.

• Voice dictation is entirely optional. You can type notes manually at any time without using this feature.

4. Wear OS Companion

If you use Baseline Metrics with a Wear OS smartwatch:

• Match data (scores, point events) is synced between your phone and watch using Google's Wearable Data Layer API.

• This sync occurs within your device ecosystem (your phone and your watch) and is not transmitted to our servers.

• The data transfer is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. In-App Purchases

Baseline Metrics offers an optional one-time premium upgrade processed through Google Play. When you make a purchase:

• Payment is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment information.

• Purchase verification is handled by RevenueCat, a third-party service. RevenueCat may process your Google Play purchase token to confirm entitlement. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

• We store only whether you have unlocked premium (true/false) locally on your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Baseline Metrics does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

The app stores player names and match data locally on the device. This information is entered by the user and is never transmitted to us or any third party (except as described in sections 3 and 4 above for optional features).

For parents and guardians: If your child uses Baseline Metrics, you can delete all match data and settings stored on the device at any time using the Settings → Clear All Data option within the app. This permanently removes all locally stored information.

If you believe a child has provided information through the app in a way that raises privacy concerns, please contact us at ace@baselinematch.com and we will respond promptly.

7. Third-Party Services

Baseline Metrics itself does not use any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or third-party tracking SDKs. The following third-party services may handle data as described above:

8. Crash Reporting (Planned Future Addition)

We plan to add crash reporting in a future update to help us identify and fix technical issues. When this feature is added:

• Crash reports may include device type, Android version, and a stack trace describing where the app failed.

• Crash reports will not include your match data, player names, or point notes.

• This policy will be updated before crash reporting is enabled, and you will be notified of the change.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

All data Baseline Metrics stores is retained locally on your device until you delete it. You can remove all app data at any time by:

• Using Settings → Clear All Data within the app, or

• Uninstalling Baseline Metrics from your device (this removes all locally stored data).

10. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is no data held by us to access, correct, or delete. All data is under your direct control on your own device.

If you have questions about data handled by Google services (Speech Recognition, Wearable Data Layer, Google Play), please refer to Google's privacy controls at myaccount.google.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy — particularly before enabling crash reporting (§8) or any future feature that changes our data practices — we will update the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice through the app or the Play Store listing.
