I am a PA Inducted Elementary School Teacher with over 14 years of working with elementary-aged students in many different settings. I graduated from Kutztown University in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (Pre-K to 4).
While earning this degree, I completed my professional semester with Kindergarten students, 100% online, at 13th and Union Elementary in the Reading Area School District in the Fall of 2020. Also, I Student Taught in a second-grade class, with a hybrid setup, at Gilbertsville Elementary in the Boyertown School District. Also, I spent time in college working at Shaynah Kinner Daycare/Preschool in Kutztown, PA.
After graduation, I worked as both a substitute teacher for grades K-5 in the Boyertown Area School District and as a summer intervention teacher for 2nd and 3rd-grade students in the Boyertown Area School District.
For my first year of teaching, I was the K-5 STEM teacher at Greenwich Elementary, as well as Kutztown Elementary, in the Kutztown Area School District. During my time in these positions, I gained so much valuable experience that I will carry with me, throughout my entire teaching career. Over my time working with children, not only have I learned so much about myself as an educator, but I have also learned so much about the profession and how to be a distinguished teacher through many different pieces of training.
