Ms. Shearer

I am the BeLA Math Teacher. My goal is to ensure students learning virtually get the same equal opportunity to grow and learn. This year is extra special for me because it's my first official year of teaching!

I am a 2024 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Secondary Education Mathematics. I had the opportunity to cover three long-term leaves in the math department at BAHS last year. I grew up in Bellefonte, so it has been amazing to give back to the community that taught me.

I have a passion for all things artsy and crafty. So, expect some of those things in our math class. I also have a very fluffy cat named Izzy and you will definitely be shown photos of her at some point. 

I am teaching Algebra 1 Pt. 1, Algebra 1 Pt. 2, and Geometry this year. I'm also one of the adivisor's of the Class of 2029. I am excited to share my passion for mathematics and for an amazing school year!
