Mrs. Markert's Classroom Library Procedures
Students may visit Mrs. Markert's classroom library during their scheduled reading times in ELA class and ELA Skills.
Students must follow the below process.
1. Before visiting Mrs. Markert's classroom library, use the Virtual Classroom Library to view, by topic/genre, all the books that may be available. To search by title or author, use Mrs. Markert's Classroom Library Inventory.
2. Write down (on an index card or small piece of paper) the book title and bin or shelf title of two or three books that you are interested in reading BEFORE going to the shelves.
3. Check the appropriate bin or shelf for your first choice book. If the book is not in my library, try one of your other choices.
4. After choosing a book and removing it from the bin/shelf, grab a protective carrying bag and return to your seat.
5. Complete the Borrowing & Returning Books form when borrowing books from AND returning books to Mrs. Markert's classroom library.
