Coming JULY 2022!

100 books were dispersed at the YMCA food distribution, at the former Moshannon Valley Super Bowl, in March 2022! While the YMCA handed out food for the body, KSLA Central PA handed out food for the mind and soul--in the form of books for babies, children, and those up through middle school.

We asked our members to advertise both the scholarship and provide names for recommendations for the Celebrate Literacy Award. YOUR voice is important to us as we strive to recognize students and organizations that exemplify our beliefs that strong literacy skills are key to having a successful future! Strong literacy opportunities equal stronger communities!

Scholarship!

Congratulations to our first ever Future Educator Scholarship winner Paige Washic! Paige wrote an essay and was selected to win a 100 dollar scholarship towards her education. Paige recently graduated from West Branch Area School District. She will attend the University of Pittsburgh where she plans to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
