Running Routes

Below are the series of running routes we did through out the season. I tried to include mileage with them, some I will need to update the mileage for.

1. Pine Circle Run (1.76mi)

  • Start at the Middle School.

  • Turn left on to High Street.

  • Turn right on to Summit Drive.

  • Turn left to go past the Teener League Fields (Parkwood Drive).

  • Turn right at the first stop sign (Pine Circle Rd).

  • Go around the Pine Circle loop.

  • Run back the same way you came.

2. Governor's Park Run (2.1mi)

  • Start at the Middle School.

  • Run up to the red light on School St.

  • Turn left in front of the High School.

  • Run along the side walk to Governor's Park.

  • Run the asphalt loop within the trees of Governor's Park (around the playground).

  • Run back the same way you came.

3. Shady Lane Neighborhood Loop Run (about 2mi)

  • Start at the Middle School.

  • Turn left on to High Street.

  • Turn left on to Summit Drive.

  • Turn left on to Woodland Drive.

  • Turn right on to Tanney Street.

  • Turn left on to Shady Lane.

  • Keep following the curve and run along side the soccer fields (fields are on your right).

  • Turn left on to High St.

  • Do the loop twice and finish back at the Middle School.

4. Middle School Circuit (about 2mi)

  • Run 5 hills near the green cage (10 hills = one mi).

  • Run two laps around the softball fields and bus cage.

  • Run the bases like a ladder run (first base to home plate and then home plate back down to first base).

  • Run two laps around the middle school building.

5. Beaver Street and Curtain Street Loop (2.6mi)

  • Start at the Middle School.

  • Turn right on to High Street.

  • Turn right on to McAllister Street.

  • Turn left on to E Howard Street.

  • Turn right on to Monroe Street.

  • Turn left on to Beaver Street.

  • Turn left on to Allegheny Street.

  • Turn left on to Curtain Street.

  • Follow the road back to the Middle School.

NEW ROUTES ---- these are starting from the HIGH SCHOOL and are longer/harder runs then above.

6. Herbies Hometown Loop

7. Parkview Heights Run (the hilly run)

  • Turn right on to High St and run to Pine Circle Rd

  • Turn right on to Pine Circle road and travel around the loop.

  • Turn right onto Robin Road and continue straight into Parkview Heights development.

  • Follow the loop of the development and come back out.

  • Turn right onto Summit Drive.

  • At the top of the hill, turn right on to Sylvan Circle and complete that loop.

  • Turn right back on to Summit Drive and go down the hill.

  • Turn right onto Woodland Drive

  • Turn right onto Oak Lane

  • Turn left on to Shady Lane hill

  • Follow the road back to High St.

  • Go back to the school

8. Governor's Park Course

  • Run along the sidewalk in front of the High School and take it to Governor's Park.

  • Stop at the Kepler Pool parking lot.

  • Do the 1 mile Governor's Park course, twice.

  • Finish at the Kepler Pool parking lot.

  • Run back to the High School.

9. Bellefonte Loop

  • Start at the High School.

  • Turn left on to Bishop Street.

  • Turn right on to McAllister Street.

  • Turn left on to E Howard Street.

  • Turn right on to Monroe Street.

  • Turn left on to Beaver Street.

  • Turn right onto N Ridge St

  • Left onto E 5th Ave which will take you to Allegheny St.

  • Go left onto Allegheny (be aware of cars!)

  • Then turn right on Curtain St, follow the sidewalk past the Elementary School.

  • Run straight until you reach Bishop St and turn left.

    • Run up Bishop St.

    • Turn left at N Wilson St. (the red light)

    • Turn right on to E High St. and run towards the Middle School.

    • Turn left at School St and run back up to the High School.

10. Courthouse Loop. - big hill

  • Travel down Bishop St.

  • Turn right at the bottom on to Allegheny and run to the Court house.

  • Run up the court house hill (with traffic/ on sidewalk) and run down the other side. - do it twice.

  • Continue running on Allegheny Street to Linn Street and turn right.

  • Follow Linn Street back to the High School.

11. Allegheny Street Hill. - big hill

  • Start at the High School.

  • Turn left on to Bishop Street.

  • Turn right on to McAllister Street.

  • Turn left on to E Howard Street.

  • Turn right on to Monroe Street.

    • Then left on to Linn St.

    • Follow Linn Street down to the Elementary School.

    • Turn left on to Allegheny Street.

  • Run straight - past the courthouse until you reach Bishop St.

  • You will then continue to go straight up Allegheny Street Hill.

  • At the top, turn left and run along Crawford Lane to Blanchard Street.

  • Take a right on Blanchard Street to Humes Road.

  • Continue on straight on Humes Road and then turn left onto Hughes St.

  • Follow that back to Bishop Street.

  • Run to the red light in front of the High School.

  • Turn left on to School Street

  • Then right on to High Street.

  • Complete the 1 mile XC loop.

  • Run back to the High School.

12. Tallyrand Park Loop

  • Start at the High School and go left on to Bishop St.

  • Follow Bishop St to the bottom of the hill and turn right on to Allegheny St.

  • At the Courthouse, turn left on to W High Street.

  • Follow until you past Tallyrand Park.

  • Turn right on to Scott Lane.

  • Turn right on to W Lamb St.

  • Turn left on to N Spring St and then a quick right on to Linn St (running past the Elementary School).

  • Turn left on to Allegheny St - go up the hill.

  • Turn right on to Linn Street.

  • Head back to the High School.
