Performing Arts Boosters
Our Boosters meet the First Tuesday of every month.
Meetings take place at 7 pm in the High School Band Room
Our Focus
Support all facets of the Performing Arts program of the Bellefonte Area School District (this includes the band, choir, orchestra, theatre, dance, majorette and color guard programs); lend financial support to supplement equipment, supplies and program opportunities to ensure that every year, students in every performing art discipline have a unique educational experience; and support advocacy activities for the promotion of the performing arts program at BASD.
Our Function
Provide a board approved adult volunteer base to serve as chaperones at football games, competitions and performing arts trips; provide support to performing arts staff; provide staff to operate food stands at home football games; provide meals to students participating in various performing arts events and coordinate and execute fundraisers to meet our financial needs.
Monies raised support transportation expenses for student oriented performing arts travel; financial contributions toward out-of-pocket meal expense for students traveling to PMEA festivals and trips; running the Performing Arts Boosters food stand at Roger's Stadium; provide Performing Arts Student Scholarships and Awards; and purchase staff requested supplemental supplies and equipment for the performing arts program.
