***AP Classes are college level courses that you can take in high school. They are rigorous, upper-level courses. Students can choose to take the AP Exam at the end of an AP Course to try to earn college credit. The amount of credit earned depends on the college / university you choose to attend, so it is important that you do your research! Please see the links below for more helpful information and links about the AP Program!***

Students who are interested in taking an AP Class in the 2026-2027 school year must apply for and be accepted in order to request, schedule, and take the class. Applications for each AP Class are below.
Application Instructions:
Click on the link to the right of each course below that you wish to apply for to see the application.
If the application is a Google Form, please complete it as such. You must be signed in to your BASD Google Account to complete Google Form Applications.
If the application is a PDF, you will need to print the application, complete it, and return it to either the teacher or to the guidance office (it will state where to return in the application).
AP US Government and AP World History Modern applications consist of several parts as noted by the multiple links next to their subject names. Please be sure to complete all parts.
Be sure to read and follow all instructions and complete the application in full.
Applications will open on December 15, 2025 and are due no later then January 23, 2026 (3:15 pm end of school day). This is a firm deadline. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
Be sure to apply for any and all courses you are considering. Be reminded that even though you apply for and request a course to be scheduled, it may not make it on to your schedule next year. There may be scheduling conflicts that prohibit you from getting a class. Therefore, applying for multiple classes gives you a better chance of getting AP classes. You cannot request or schedule a class without applying for and being accepted into the class. As well, you are not obligated to take all of the AP courses for which you have applied.
Be sure that you meet the requirements and pre-requisites of the courses you are hoping to take. You can find descriptions of each course and suggested pre-requisites in the BAHS Course Description Guide which is available at this link: BAHS Course Description Guide
After applying, teachers may ask you to participate in an interview. Interviews will be conducted between January 26 - January 30, 2026.
Please note that some AP courses are also CHS courses. For these courses, your options of taking an AP Exam or earning credit through CHS will be explained at the beginning of next school year by the teacher once you are enrolled in and start the class. However, whether or not you choose to take the AP Exam, earn the CHS credit, or neither, you still MUST APPLY at this time to be considered for the class for next year. A list of all AP and CHS courses is included in the BAHS Course Description Guide (link above).
REMEMBER: THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR AP CLASSES IS JANUARY 23, 2026 (3:15 pm)
