I am an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. I obtained my B.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1989. I graduated with my M.S. in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1995. I have experience in a variety of settings including head injury rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, private practice, nursing home care, and acute rehabilitation in the hospital setting. I have a passion for working with older students and young adults, with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders. I have worked in the Burlington School District for over 25 years. In addition to working as an SLP, I also serve as the Transition Coordinator for the district. In this position I help students and families prepare for life after high school and help them connect with services in the community. In my free time I enjoy cooking, reading, and exploring the outdoors with my husband and 3 adult daughters. I service students at BHS, Project Active Citizen (Beyond 18 program), and other sites as needed.
