About me:
I began my career in libraries in 2002 at the Main Branch of Mesa County Libraries as a Library Assistant in the Reference department. I received my Masters in Library and Information Science in 2008 and started my professional career at Garfield County Libraries where I worked for thirteen years. In 2021, I became the Executive Director of the Basalt Library. The best thing about being Executive Director is that I get to be both a librarian and an administrator. I get to help staff be better at their jobs, help guide policy and procedure development, and I still get to work directly with the public from time to time. It doesn't get better than that!
In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, going to concerts, reading (of course), and fly fishing.

About Me:
Hello! I have worked in Colorado libraries for 18 years - more if you count my time as a work-study library assistant. My experience is mainly on the academic side of things but I've also worked and volunteered in public and charter school libraries. I earned my B.S. in Biology at Western Colorado University and worked my way up from library assistant to Director of Library Services. Working in a smaller academic library means that I still get to do some of the hands-on, interactive bits while steering the ship.
Professionally, I am interested in OER, information design, and organizational culture/team dynamics. I'm a graduate of the 2008 Mountain Plains Library Association (MPLA) Leadership Institute and the 2018-2019 CAL Leadership Institute. I've served as the Colorado representative to MPLA, CAL Board Member-at-Large, and now, as a CALLI board member. Personally, I enjoy (trying) to cook dishes from other cultures, cycling, playing video & board games, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.

About Me:
I joke that I oozed my way into public libraries. I started in 2008 as a volunteer at the branch by my house at the time, and over the next few years became a sub, bookmobile driver, Outreach Associate, and Assistant Manager in Oklahoma. At Jefferson County Public Library I started as the Public Services Supervisor in Golden, then the Manager of the Mountain Libraries and Patron Experience Design, and as of June 2024 I'm the Manager at the Lakewood Library and Patron Experience Design.
My life philosophy is "We rise by lifting others" (Robert Ingersoll) and that's been an important part of my library career. Working in Outreach for four years gave me a breadth of experience working with all communities in the area and as I've worked my way up in two library systems I've continued to apply the knowledge and experiences I gained at a variety of positions in public libraries. The people are what make libraries work!

About me:
I started working in public libraries about 16 years ago as a middle school volunteer after deciding at age 3 that librarianship was my chosen profession. I have held positions as a Volunteer, Page, Patron Experience Associate, Librarian, and now Supervisor. I started working in Colorado libraries in 2014 as a volunteer for JCPL and spent 6 years after graduating from undergrad at Douglas County Libraries. I am now the Circulation Supervisor for Aurora Public Library. I graduated from Emporia State University with my MLIS at the end of 2020, and was part of the CALLI 2022/23 cohort.
I am particularly passionate about access and mental health in public library work. I love that my current job revolves around circulation and how to get materials to the people who need them. We work in a difficult profession with a lot of challenges; it's incredibly important to me that I do my part in supporting mental health and opening up conversations among library workers. In my personal time I love going to see live theatre, dancing (taking class and performing), traveling, reading, writing, and spending as much time in the sun as possible.

About me: I'm a librarian and technology professional currently working as the Technology Strategy Specialist at Denver Public Library where I have been for 9 years through several different positions.
I'm passionate about cultivating teams that share common purpose and when things get tough, our ability to overcome challenges together increases exponentially. I like that stuff.
I started as a cataloging assistant at a law school library, keeping a card catalog in sync with a (normal) database catalog with the help of an IBM typewriter. Then, I worked at NYU Health Sciences Libraries eventually specializing in website management. Next, I went to library school and moved to Colorado and have been hooked on public libraries ever since.
I learned a ton about myself and what I wanted to do with my career in the 2010-11 CALLI cohort and went on to lead IT teams at several Front Range public library systems; Boulder Public, Jefferson County and DPL.
I taught a graduate class in web content strategy at the iSchool at Syracuse University, earned certifications in several aspects of Agile leadership and have presented on a variety of topics at both state and national library conferences.

About me: Growing up I was always a book kid, hanging out in our school libraries as much as I could and reading everything I could get my hands on. I was lucky to have some incredible librarians, and I always thought it would be an amazing job. Still, when I moved back to the small town where I grew up and got a part time job shelving at the local library I didn't see it as the start of a career. Now more than eight years later I'm still here, I've had every job at the branch, and I just became the branch and district substitute manager in the summer of 2025.
I'm passionate about encouraging personal growth and emotional wellness in all positions, trying to bring resources and opportunities to our rural area, and collaborating with other library teams to share support and ideas.

About me:
A Colorado native, I grew up in Denver. I ventured to Arizona for a time, earning my library degree at the University of Arizona, before returning to Colorado. With a well rounded background in librarianship having roles both public facing and in technical services, I have enjoyed my library journey. As a kid my sister and I used to “catalog” the books we read so perhaps it is not surprising that I found my way into the Technical Services side of things after spending several years working the public service desks. I especially relish new books arriving, each offers opportunities to learn and broaden my perspective, there is SO much to discover!
