A list of the basic pieces of equipment you will need to have at the start of the course.
Available from the college shop:
A3 sketchbooks or A1 card for documenting project work.
You will be expected to provide your own basic art and drawing materials, including scissors, masking tape, ruler, pencils, fine liners, etc. The college shop can supply all these items and is located next door to the main FAD studio.
Larger items to buy:
A small lockable tool box for your art equipment. You will leave this in the studio most of the time.
A1 or A2 black zip-up portfolio - (if mounting work on card)
IT equipment:
Many FAD students have found it useful to bring their own laptop or MacBook to enable them to carry out work and research in their Art Foundation studio. However, this is not essential. PC's and Macs as well as college Chromebooks are also available for FAD students to use every day.
