Vocabulary Extra Credit
This page has three extra credit assignments to help you prepare for or remediate your vocabulary quizzes:
1. Frayer Slides: Complete a Frayer Slide template for missed vocabulary terms, including a definition, key facts, pictures, and a key concept.
2. Infographics: Pick three related terms and make an online poster showing how they are related to an assertion sentence.
Extra credit assignments exist in Google Classroom for each quiz. Attach your completed work to the appropriate assignment and click "Turn In."

Frayer Slides
Instructions: Create a Frayer slide for terms from the vocabulary list for each quiz. Include the following:
1. Definition in your own words.
2. Interesting facts from the linked article.
3. Pictures, illustrations or examples of your term.
4. A relevant Key Concept (you may copy and paste this).
5. Explanation of how that term supports the key concept you identified.
If doing this after you’ve taken the quiz, choose terms that you missed.
Turning In: Attach your completed infographic to the extra credit assignment on Google Classroom and click submit.
Grading: Each Frayer Slide you complete earns up to 5 points of extra credit on that quiz. Maximum total extra credit points: 30
Completing 5 Frayer slides replaces the vocabulary flashcards.

Infographics
Infographics
Instructions: Use Adobe Spark or Canva to create an online poster showing the relationship among three terms from the vocabulary list for each quiz. Include the following:
1. An assertion sentence and three related terms from the same list.
2. A definition of each term in your own words.
3. Pictures, illustrations or examples of each term.
4. A sentence explaining the relationship between the assertion sentence and each term.
If doing this after you’ve taken the quiz, choose terms that you missed.
Turning In: Attach your completed infographic to the extra credit assignment on Google Classroom and click submit.
Grading: Each infographic you complete earns up to 10 points of extra credit on that quiz. Maximum total extra credit points: 30
Completing two infographics replaces the vocabulary flashcards.
Click "Login with Google" on each site to login using your barrowcountyschools.org account.
