eBook Login Help

Sora 

Sora is an eBook service where you can check out an eBook for a period of 14 days. These eBooks are similar to our print books in the LMC, in that only one person can check out a book at a time. If the eBook is not available, you are able to place a hold on it. You will need to download the Sora app from Self Service in order to use this service. Please follow the directions below to set up your Sora app.

Directions to set up the Sora App:

1. Select your school or click on +Add a library and enter 60010 in the search bar, then click Search.

2. Select Barrington Middle Schools from the list of libraries. (If you have a Barrington Area Library card you can add that later if you follow the same steps;)

3. Click both Barrington Middle Schools and the checkbox to Remember the login information and sign into the Digital Library using your District username and password (same as Infinite Campus).

4. Follow these same directions to add your local public library collection.

Login info for Sora:

username: District username (ex. JSmith or JSmith1)

password: District ID# (ex. 0!2E45$)

Directions to check out and read a Sora eBook/Audiobook:

1. Sign in to the Sora Digital Library with the above logins.

2. Click on the Explore icon at the bottom to view the books in the online catalog or use the Search icon at the top of the page to search for a specific title or author.

3. Click the Borrow button to check the book out.
