Students in Barrington 220 use iPad and many staff members use both iPad (iPadOS) and a MacBook Air laptop (macOS).

Prior to starting the school year be sure to complete the following list. All of this should be completed at the New Hire Onboarding. If not, be sure to seek out your building LTA as soon as possible. 

1. Set up laptop and laptop user account (username & password)

2. Set up Self Service (to access licensed district apps)

3. Set up “network account” (used for Infinite Campus, Schoology, & Skyward)

4. Install printing software on laptop

5. Set up Google account (email & document collaboration)

6. Set up iPad

7. Set up Apple ID (or use an existing Apple ID)

• Website Staff tab (use the Sign In link in the lower-right corner)

• Infinite Campus (Student Information System)

• Skyward (financial & human resources system)

• Schoology (Learning Management System Grades 4-12)

• Seesaw (Learning Management System Grades PreK-3)

• Zoom (Video Conferencing Platform)

• Gmail and Google Workspace (email & collaborative productivity suite)

• Apple Teacher (tutorials for using MacBook Air & iPad in the classroom)

Please use the password guide below to create a secure and consistent password for Barrington 220 systems.

Barrington 220 Staff Username

• In general, your Barrington 220 staff username is: first initial of “formal” first name + full last name (i.e., mfuller@barrington220.org)

• If a username was already in use, your username may include a middle initial and/or a numeral at the end (i.e., mdpolzin@barrington220.org, mmiller1@barrington220.org)

Barrington 220 Staff Password Guide

If you wish to use the same password in all your Barrington 220 systems, your password must follow all these guidelines. Your password must:

• Have at least one letter

• Have at least one capital letter

• Have at least one number

• Have at least 1 special character

• Not contain multiple consecutive characters

• Not be the same as the account name

• Be at least 8 characters

• Be no more than 20 characters

• Not be a common password

• Not have been used previously
